Welcome to Forth Valley Credit Union
The next chapter of a trusted community organisation
On 30 September 2026, Falkirk District Credit Union became Forth Valley Credit Union.
Our new name reflects how we have grown since we were founded in 1995. While we began by serving Falkirk and the surrounding communities, we now support members across a much wider area throughout the Forth Valley.
This is not a new organisation. It is the next chapter in the story of a trusted community organisation that has been supporting local people since 1995.
Why have we changed our name?
Forth Valley Credit Union better reflects the people and places we serve today, and our ambition to support more people in the future.
The change will help us:
- Better represent our growing membership across the Forth Valley
- Raise awareness of the credit union throughout the region
- Help more people understand who can benefit from our services
- Appeal to future generations of members
- Present a modern and accessible identity while protecting the trust we have built since 1995
What has changed?
- Our name is now Forth Valley Credit Union
- Our logo and visual identity have been refreshed
- Our communications will have a clearer, more consistent and accessible style
What has not changed?
The things that matter most remain the same:
- We are still a credit union owned by our members
- Our commitment to fair and ethical financial services is unchanged
- Our focus remains on supporting individuals and families
- Our values are still built around trust, community and financial wellbeing
- The people behind the organisation remain committed to helping members build greater financial confidence and security
Reassurance for existing members
If you are already a member, you remain a member of the same credit union.
There is no need to reapply for membership because of the change of name. Your relationship with us continues, supported by the same people-first approach and commitment to personal service.
If we ever need you to take a specific action, we will contact you clearly through our usual communication channels.
